Introducing Crystal Tait | Vaughan RMT

What’s your name:

Crystal Tait, RMT

Why did you become a Chiro/RMT?

I’ve been massaging my friends and family ever since I was a little girl. I was able to work out muscle tension and was pretty good at it from what they tell me. When it came time to pick a profession, it had just become popular at a college level, and so I applied to Sir Sanford Fleming and got in! The rest is history.

What is one of the most common complaints you hear from patients, and what is the cause?

I’ve been massaging my friends and family ever since I was a little girl. I was able to work out muscle tension and was pretty good at it from what they tell me. When it came time to pick a profession, it had just become popular at a college level, and so I applied to Sir Sanford Fleming and got in! The rest is history.

If you can give everyone one piece of advice, what would it be?

Muscle conditioning, no matter what your job is. You need to be continually strengthening to give you a strong foundation so that you can sit at a desk, and your core can help you sit up straight. So that your muscles can handle doing things for you and not be overused. You have one body and its the only thing for sure that will get you through life. Please treat it kindly.

What is your favourite exercise or stretch?

Squatting is essential to create a strong foundation!

What is your favourite quote?

If you think you can or can’t, either way, you are right!

What is your best purchase under $100?

Frankincense, it is the greatest essential oil. I use it on my skin every day, and it stays so clear, clean and glowing. It also is an antiseptic, antiviral and anti-inflammatory, so it helps support your body in every way!

What’s in your diffuser this week?

I am obsessed with Ylang Ylang mixed with citrus!
